Five Essential Oils To Add To Your Skincare Routine

When it comes to choosing essential oils for oily skin, you need to stay with oils within the comedogenic rating of 1 – 2/3. Non-comedogenic oils can be used as a cleanser or as a moisturiser. They can also be used to create a skin serum.

The comedogenic rating is the ability of an oil to clog pores. The rating is from 0 – 5. The higher the comedogenic rating is, the more likely the oil is to clog your pores, leading to more skin issues like acne.

A rating of 0 – 2 is usually a safe range for most skin types including oily skin. When the rating is 3 – 4, you may want to exercise caution before applying it to your skin. A rating of 5 means it will definitely clog your pores. It’s best to avoid this oil even if you have very good skin.

Here are a bunch of low-comedogenic essential oils you can add to your skincare routine.
