YouTube TV announced that it will be offering users access to the HBO and HBO Max TV services between March and May 2020. This is in the agreement package between YouTube TV and AT&T.
The over-the-top internet television service that offers live TV, on-demand video and cloud-based DVR from more than 70 television networks announced via its Twitter handle:
We’re feeling pret-tay, pret-tay good about this news we have to share with you…@HBO is coming to YouTube TV this spring. Welcome to the family!
— YouTube TV (@YouTubeTV) February 20, 2020
While it announced that HBO is coming by Spring, which is around the middle of March 2020, CNet reports that it will get Cinemax around the same time. The report also went on to confirm that HBO Max will be included by May 2020.
Although the service has not announced any price range for these coming additions, they will be as add-ons. Which is different from how AT&T offers them — it includes them in its service pricing.

In this case, if the HBO services are add-ons on YouTube TV, they will incur additional charges.
YouTube had created YouTube TV in 2017 and this service is under the Google umbrella since the company already owns YouTube. Since its launch, YouTube TV has been enticing customers with many services. One such is the ability to record shows and schedule them. In a recent tweet, the service explained how users can do this.
It had tweeted:
Step 1️⃣: Record EVERYTHING you want. ➕
Step 2️⃣: Check scheduled recordings to see what’s next on deck. 👀
Step 3️⃣: Wait for your library to become the content catalog of your dreams. ☁️#YouTubeTVTips pic.twitter.com/CYUzihBm8Z— YouTube TV (@YouTubeTV) February 21, 2020
It also offers a cloud-based DVR service with unlimited storage that saves recordings for nine months. Each subscription can be shared among six accounts and allows up to three simultaneous streams.
For now, YouTube TV only serves people living in the United States.
