Mushrooms are rich in Potassium which is very important when it comes to heart, muscle, and nerve function. Potassuim helps to lessen the negative impact sodium has in the body. It also helps to lessen pressure on the blood vessels which in turn lowers blood pressure.

Some studies over the years have shown that mushrooms, combined with exercise and a healthy breakfast can impact weight loss.
In a particular research, participants were asked to substitute 20 percent of their beef consumption with mushrooms. After a while, participants showed a noticeable reduction in their BMI and waistline. Mushrooms also contain antioxidants that have can reduce the risk of hypertension.
