This root vegetable and spice is of high vitamin C and quercetin, which is a type of antioxidant called a flavonoid that helps to get rid of scars, acne and rejuvenates the skin.
If you’ve been battling acne, this a really good time to recruit this loyal kitchen ingredient to help you combat the skin condition.
Here is how to make onions facemask for acne removal
— Pour your onion peel in a blender and blend till it becomes a smooth paste.
— Add 2 spoonful of water or rose water to paste and blend to mix
— Apply evenly on the face taking care to avoid the eyes areas.
— Leave to sit for 5 – 7 minutes then rinse with warm water.

Onions and pear face mask
This one is for persons with sensitive skin. Because the feel of onion on the skin can be for some, it’s advisable to add pear ( avocado) to cushion the effect.
Here’s how to make this face mask
— Start by boiling onions in a water
— Scoop out some pear pulp and put in a medium-size bowl.
— Add 3 tablespoon of milk and 3 spoon fulls of boiled onion water
— Mix well and apply on the face
— Let it sit for 5 minutes then rinse off with warm water
Onions peel scrub
Another effective way to get rid of acne is by exfoliating with onions. However, you must be careful not to rub too hard and inflame the skin.
Here’s how to make a face scrub from onion peels.
— Boil onions in a pan
— Boil two or three spoonfuls of oatmeal in a different pot
— After boiling, allow to cool and scoop out the juice to add to the now cool oats.
— Add honey, mix well and apply to the face. Rub in gentle, circular motions and let it sit for seven minutes
— Rinse off and pat dry with a clean damp face towel.
