However, not every Personal Computer will be able to upgrade to this new software based on some requirements. This new Windows operating system requires an Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake or Zen 2 CPUs or higher, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and importantly TPM 2.0.

So if you just got a shiny new PC that runs Windows 10 out of the box, there are chances you are eligible for Windows 11. Firstly:

  • Connect to Wi-Fi or have a reliable data connection.
  • Check if your PC supports Windows 11 officially through the Microsoft PC Health Check app.
  •  Transfer or Backup all of your important documents, apps, and data online/offline.
  • On your PC, open the Settings app, click on Update & security and select Windows update.
  • Wait while the PC searches for an Update.
