Horizon Worlds makes it easier to report bugs in bid to improve metaverse app

Horizon Worlds gets an update that allows users to report bugs by holding the A, B, X, and Y buttons on controllers. The action brings up a window that allows you to report a problem. It also allows users to share relevant screenshots.

For some, who have been using Horizon Worlds for more than a year, the feature may not be all that new. Meta has been testing “report a problem” option since April 2021, however, with the small number of users on the platform, it is no wonder that it is just appearing tech news sites now.

The rollout coincides with the company’s plan to improve the app to encourage more users. As we reported, the app plays a key part in the success of the metaverse and it is in Meta’s best interest to refine it as much as possible before a worldwide release.

Currently, the app is seeing very few users. So few, in fact, that some working on it do not even use it.

However, the excuse of bugs discouraging users is not something that metaverse VP Vishal Shah wants to hear among employees. His latest memo points to the fact that they have no excuse and he even went ahead to say that team managers would be held responsible for how many people under them use or do not use Horizon Worlds going forward.

The next big thing from Facebook’s parent company is approaching completion, with several teases of the gear (Project Cambria) and the videos showing that it is indeed as futuristic as the name implies.
