Singer and activist Charly boy has mocked the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II after his wife of three years announced their marriage has ended.
The Ooni’s now ex-wife Silekunola Naomi announced their divorce on Instagram on December 23rd, writing that she has chosen to focus on their son.
“His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self,” Naomi had said.
“I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as queen of Ile-Ife, but as the queen of the people and mother of my adorable prince.”
“I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done.”
The palace had reacted to her post by saying the couple are still together, but they’ll investigate of Naomi’s Instagram was hacked.

Commenting on the marital drama, Charly Boy wondered what could be wrong with the handsome Ooni for his two wives to divorce him in quick succession.
“See this my fine bobo. How is it that, in less than 2 months, two of your wives just divorced and ran away from your kingdom? To add salt to injury, it’s on Instagram they divorced you,” the singer wrote in Pidgin English.
“All that glitters is not gold. My people, how do you all see this matter? How come wives just take off without notice? Is it good?”

It is worthy of note that this will be Oba Ogunwusi’s third divorce. His marriage to Adebukola Bombata failed in 2015. This was after his coronation. They were married for seven years.
The king married Zaynab Otiti Obanor from the ancient city of Benin in 2016. However, Obanor filed for divorce from the monarch in 2017.
In 2018, the king found love again, this time in the arms of a prophetess, Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi. In 2020, the couple welcomed their first son together. Shockingly, in December 2021, the Queen, announced that she was ending her barely 3-year-old marriage.
