Ghanaian star actor Majid Michel says he did drugs and engaged in street fights before he found Jesus and became born again.

The actor star turned preacher spoke about his past when he featured on the latest episode of Joy FM programme. “The Reason is Jesus”

Michel said his past was characterised with smoking, drinking with friends and street fights.

“I used to go out to drink, go and booze, we go and smoke, get into fights on the streets. So, I did some drugs; we tried something to see how it goes. We get into fights at Members next to Glenz at Osu,” he disclosed.

Michel also advised young people to be mindful of their association, as the wrong company comes with grave consequences.

“Friends are critical. Be careful in choosing them because those you associate with play a role in how your life turns out,” he added.

If you are listening to me out there and you are a young guy be careful who you associate with as it has a serious consequence on your future”.

Michel was born in Cantonments, Accra Ghana to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian mother. The 41-year-old actor made his Nollywood debut in a 2009 romantic drama titled “Emerald”.

The film star is married to Virna Michel, they have three kids together.
