Sometimes, the date and time on your Windows computer can play up and switch to giving incorrect information. Other times, it may just not align with your present time zone and location, and so it shows you another time. It could even be that you just want to change it to depict a different location.

To customise the time and date on your Windows 10, follow the steps below.

  • First, head to the date and time section by logging into Windows 10 on your PC.
  • Then head to the search bar in the bottom left corner and type in Settings. The windows result will bring it up to the top of the search.

Windows date and time settings

  • In the Setting window, the Time and Language Settings will appear in the middle of the icons. Select this to open a new window.
  • Different options will then appear to show the Date and Time, Region and Language options, and others.
  • Using this, you can navigate to the Date and Time section.
  • The first two options in this section will be the Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.
  • The “Set the time automatically” option is usually turned on. It is where Windows chooses the time based on the location data selected.
  • If you had previously made a mistake with your time zone, you can just change that and leave the Set time zone automatically on.
  • Also, if you will like to customise the time, you can turn this off and manually select the time you want.
  • If you have turned off the automatic settings, select the button that says “Change” under Change time and date.
  • This will open a new window that shows the month, day and year, followed by the hour, minute and AM/PM.
  • You can now make the manual changes and select Change to implement your own time.
