Huawei Developer Conference 2020 comes up on 11th and 12th February. In a Tweet, the Chinese multinational telecommunication giant announced the date:

The event will take place in Shenzhen, China. Amidst its trade war with the United States, Huawei has announced that the event is open to all developers. On its official page, it expects about 15,000+ developers to participate. It also describes the event as a:
“way to build a global platform for exchanging ideas and trying out new things. We want to share the ICT technologies and capabilities Huawei has developed over the past 30 years. Our Kunpeng and Ascend processors, in particular, will be powerful new engines for global developers.”
Its theme is HDC.Cloud and many activities are scheduled for the conference. Some are Codelabs, Hackathon, Developer Contests, Gathering with Huawei luminaries and so on.
Huawei’s conference centers around Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and other important computing innovation. Participants will also enjoy the developers’ carnival that promises a music festival, talk show and lots more.

A total of about 23 speakers would take to the podium. Most of them would be coming from the host company, Huawei. However, Chris Aniszczyk and others from other tech firms are among the impressive line-up.
Chris is an open-source executive and engineer with a passion for building a better world through open collaboration. He’s currently a CTO at the Linux Foundation focused on developer relations and also runs the Open Container Initiative (OCI) / Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
Also, there is Michael Widenius (also known as Monty) among the speakers. He is the author of the very first line of MySQL code and is a founding member of MySQL AB. This event will go a long way in helping Huawei’s image.
Today 20th January 2020, Huawei’s chief financial officer and daughter of its owner, Meng Wanzhou also appear in court for trial. Canada enforcement had arrested Meng in 2018 according to United States directives. Now, the court begins her extradition hearing with Chinese authorities also monitoring it closely.
