After an exclusive interview with the Nigerian artiste, Bez Idakula, we have been on nerves end anticipating the release of his latest album. He had hinted on the release date being sometime in June without giving up too much info. Now, Bez has disclosed that the album, titled “The Light”, is out and ready for streaming and download.

This comes three years after the release of his second album, “Gbayi Child”. Although he had recorded it in 2013, he explained that it had taken him three years to release it. The 13-track album featured songs like There is Fire, which stole many hearts. However, there was a long break after that.
In an exclusive interview with Plat4om’s Funmi Jinadu, he disclosed the reason why he took a long break. The alternative/indie musician and performer said,
“I sort of went into a space and, for a while, I chose not to create. I needed to find what I was doing. And I needed to know the path that I wanted to take. I mean, I knew the path from the beginning. But I think things changed, and I just really needed to know where to go. Once I found that out, I was so eager to create again.”
Finally, the new album, “The Light”, is out and we are excited. After the release of the album, he penned a message to explain the new body of work and his silence to his fans.

“So it’s been a while and hopefully, this will be the end of my long silence. It’s the last weekend in July, and we’re so excited to bless you with a gift. I’ve been working on this body of work for over a year and I’m happy to let you know that my third album THE LIGHT is available for your streaming pleasure.
