“I Want My Old Life Back” BBNaija’s Kaisha Umaru Cries Out

BBNaija’s star Kaisha Umaru has cried out that she wants her old life back. The reality star and business entrepreneur took to her Twitter account on Tuesday, March 16th to say that not all that glitters is gold.

“I need my old life back!! , not all that glitters is gold,” she tweeted.

Kaisha, a contestant during season 5 is not the only BBNaija star that has publicly struggled with the weight of sudden fame. In 2019, Pepper dem edition winner, Mercy Eke shared she wished she could have her old life back. The star made the reveal during an Instagram chat with her fans.

This thing looks rosy on social media and it’s not rosy I think I want my old life back. I want to sleep wake up when I want, don’t have anything to do, don’t have a calendar,” she said.

“Right now I have a calendar. it sucks like I hate yea I prayed for it but it’s too much. People keep telling me it will reduce and it doesn’t. It keeps getting worse I don’t have days of my own anymore…like I feel like I want my old life back.”

During an interview in 2020, former housemate Bally shared that 60% of BBNaija stars fall into depression after the show ends.

“I’m going to tell you that at of everybody that has gone into Big Brother, at least on an average, I might be wrong but maybe at least 60% have gone into depression. They might not be still in depression but they’ve gone through it one time like that when it was crazy. And that’s the thing, there is so much pressure.”
