The new Mavin Records signee, Rema, has declared himself “the new king” of the Nigerian music scene. The Dumebi crooner also insists that he is “here to take over”. This comes almost a month after his interview with Soundcity Studios on the “What’s Up Show” with Rachel and Sheye. In the interview, he said Nigerian artistes, including star boy Wizkid, sound like him. This caused mixed reactions from people.

The singer and rapper spoke with Goldmyne TV after his first ever performance at the 2019 Homecoming held in Lagos. He made his opinion known about who “the new king” is.

Mavin Records’ Rema also announced his collaboration with ‘Jonzing World boss, D’Prince. Then he mentioned he would be having his own personal concert soon.
