Users can now rage shake their smartphones to report a problem with their Instagram app. The company announced the new feature on Wednesday November 17, 2021 as this will quickly notify users of a problem.
According to Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, when “rage shaking” your phone while using the app. Instantly, a pop-up screen will appear asking “Did something go wrong?” then users can report.

He went on to say that “You can explain exactly what happened, how you ended up in that place, and all of the emotions and feels that you’ve got going on, and we’ll have someone take a look at it.”
Instagram now notifies users whenever it is experiencing an outage. This new development comes after the company experienced a second outage in the same week after the October 4 incident.
The feature is currently in testing for United States users. Instagram says an alert would appear as a notification on its user’s Activity feed when “people are confused and looking for answers.”
Instagram new outage notification would help settle users who might be confused about an outage situation. Most users might feel their data connections are not working or their smartphones are acting up.
Instagram would also notify its users when the outage is fixed and services are back up. This feature which is in testing for the “next few months” should rollout globally if successful.
The new rage shaking feature is currently available on Android and iOS platforms. This should help Instagram speedily see reported problems, an initiative idea so far.
