All iPhone 15 versions are rumoured to be coming with the dynamic island design, but not the always-on display and ProMotion feature.
You heard that right, there are already rumours about the iPhone 15 while its predecessor is just entering the market.
This latest rumour comes courtesy of Ross Young, who is co-founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), a leading display market research firm. He has inside info on display manufacturing and supply chain.
The Dynamic Island does more than house the selfie camera setup. It can also be interacted with and appears larger when you do. It shows notifications and allows you to monitor Live Activities such as sport scores, ride status, and more.

In a Twitter post, he claimed that the new display redesign that came to only iPhone 14 Pro models would be rolled that for every smartphone in the 15 lineup.
“Yes, Dynamic Island expected on standard models on the 15. Still not expecting 120Hz/LTPO on standard models as supply chain can’t support it,” he wrote.
This means that Apple is replacing the notch design it introduced in 2017 with the launch of iPhone X. However, the fact that the 120Hz LTPO display could still be reserved for the higher end devices is not pleasing.
Of course, the iPhone 15 is still a full year away and details about it would continue to trickle in (and change) as we approach its launch.
