Public service announcement for all the Nicki fans out there: Nicki Minaj is getting married soon! Nicki Minaj and her boyfriend Kenneth “Zoo” Petty are taking things to the next level as sources reveal that the couple was spotted picking up a marriage license in Los Angeles yesterday.

This means the couple will probably wed within 90 days! The hot female rap star and her man, made their way to the Beverly Hills courthouse yesterday, where witnesses say they saw the two at the marriage license window, picking up the paperwork.
The two lovebirds started dating last year after rekindling their teenage romance. In her collab with Chance the Rapper that dropped just two days ago, Nicki rapped about their relationship and an impending marriage.
In Nicki’s verse she says, “I met my husband when I was 17 out in Queens / If you love it, let it go, now I know what that means / While he was up North for a body I bodied everybody and got known for my body.” Nicki alludes to Kenneth and his 1994 conviction for first-degree attempted r*pe and first-degree manslaughter. For this, he served 11 years in prison.
Because of this, a lot of Minaj’s fans did not approve of the relationship. Nicki fans took to social media, commenting that Petty was not good enough for her and she deserved better than an ex-convict. Many even expressed revulsion at her dating a registered s*x offender.
Fans trolled her on Twitter and Instagram saying she lowered her standards. Some also say Petty is only with her for her fame and fortune. But Nicki slammed her fans and defended her man, saying he loved her long before she had a dime in her pocket and “money can’t buy [her] happiness and good s*x”. She says she will be with Petty no matter what the haters say.
However, the news of the wedding is not new or a big secret. Back in June, Nicki revealed via her Queen radio show that she and Petty had taken out a marriage license in New York. Maybe the new marriage license is just for a change in the wedding location from New York to LA.

No one is certain when exactly Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty will walk down the aisle. Nevertheless, in Queen Nicki fashion, we expect to see a lot of colourful wedding planning. It certainly will be one for the books.
