Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from rapper husband Kanye West ending a marriage that lasted for nearly seven years.
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian 40, filed to split from her Kanye 43 in a Los Angeles superior court on Friday.
The reality TV mogul also requested joint and physical custody of the couple’s four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 1.
A source revealed to PEOPLE that the reality Tv star and Kanye are on the same page when it comes to their children.
“Both of them want nothing but the best for the kids. They want the kids to be happy. The kids will stay with Kim, but Kanye will be able to see them whenever he wants to. They will work out a schedule that is good for everyone.” the source says.

Reports in the US media had last month claimed that Kim was ready to end the marriage in 2020. However, she had put the topic off as Kanye was battling bipolar disorder at the time.
The divorce filing comes after a tumultuous period for the famous couple, who appeared to be on the brink of divorce last summer before reconnecting and spending private time together with their children.
Then, in January, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Kardashian had been working with high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser and planned to file for divorce.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West went public with their relationship in 2012. They tied the knot in May 2014 in a spectacular ceremony at a Renaissance Fortress in Florence, Italy.
