Breakout singer-songwriter Joeboy had a sitdown with Ndani TV. During the relaxed interview, Joeboy shared a little on topics ranging from how he gets inspiration for his songs and the artists he would love to work with.
The “Baby” singer revealed that it was Mr. Eazi who found him online after he uploaded a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. Joeboy also lists 2Baba, Chris Brown and Burna Boy as his inspirations, and he expressed his desire to work with them.
The upcoming hitmaker also discussed how he got into the music scene. Joeboy says music was not that big a deal to him. However, he was pushed, encouraged, and funded by family and friends that believed in him.
Joeboy also shared the inspiration for his hit singles “Baby” and “Beginning“. He cited situations and conversations he had with friends and briefly told the story behind the lyrics of the two songs.
