Kanye West is up for more financial woes as He has been banned from selling the “White Lives Matter” merch in the US
And this is because the trademark for the divisive slogan “White Lives Matter”
is owned by Ramses Ja and Quinton Ward,
They are both two Black activists who co-host the nationally syndicated radio program Civic Cipher.
And As a result, Kanye West cannot legally sell his “White Lives Matter” T-shirts in the US.
When he unveiled the “White Lives Matter” outfits at the YZY Season 9 fashion presentation last month, Kanye incited fury among many.
And this is because the slogan has drawn heavy criticism for being a casual response to Black Lives Matter,
a global social movement that works to end racialized violence and police brutality.
The activists who reside in Arizona reportedly said they received the trademark as a gift from an unidentified donor
who acquired ownership of the saying some time in September, just before Kanye West unveiled his “White Lives Matter” shirts during Paris Fashion Week, according to ABC News.

“Basically, a listener of the show—a big supporter—had the foresight to acquire this trademark
and felt that we were in a much better position than they were to determine how it could be used for the benefit of Black and brown communities,
rather than as a tool to create more additional harm on those communities,” Ja said in an interview with ABC news. “
… We accepted this responsibility and the trademark was assigned to Civic Cypher LLC.” He concluded
Ja went on to explain that no one in America can legally sell any “White Lives Matter” products without receiving their authorization.
He also said that anyone who was trying to generate a profit from the phrase would have to enter negotiations with their legal team, and potentially face a lawsuit;
however, Ja insisted that isn’t something they necessarily want to do.
These are the restrictions that will prevent Kanye West from making profit through the sales of White Lives Matter
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, Ja said that neither Kanye West
nor anyone from His legal team has reached out to them.
