On Sunday 9th January, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) unveiled the winners of the 79th annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. The HFPA is comprised of 87 international journalists who determine the nominees and winners of the Golden Globes each year.
There was no audience or nominees in attendance at the awards show following the rapid surge in COVID-19 cases. There was also no red carpet, and media was also not invited to attend.
