Lenovo adds four new laptops to its high-end Yoga Slim Ultrabooks with Lenovo Slim 9i, Slim 7i/7 Pro X, Slim 7i Carbon and Slim 7/7i joining the crew. They fit right in with their slim lightweight design of 13 to 16-inch displays.
Their standout perks seem to be the Intel or AMD processors that they were launched with.
Specs and features
For example, the Slim 9i, which is the leader of the gang, features a 14-inch OLED touchscreen display. This screen has a 2,880×1,800px resolution at 90Hz that can be configured up to 4K (3,840×2,400px) at 60Hz.
Yet, its processor is the 12-gen Intel Evo and the two variants run either the Core i5-1240P or a Core i7-1280P. Both will have Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics card and they will offer 16/32GB RAM and a 512GB/ 1TB Gen 4 SSD options as well. It weighs an astonishing 1.43 kg and will measure 17.35m when folded. Lenovo Slim 9i packs a 75Wh battery pack that can be powered via the USB-C port.

Meanwhile, the Slim 7i or 7 Pro X, the display will be larger, measuring up to 14.5 inches and a 3,072×1,920px resolution at 120Hz refresh rate. The 7i Pro X uses Intel’s 12-gen H-series and the 7 Pro X uses an AMD Ryzen 6000HS Creator series processors. They come with configurable RAM of up to 32GB and 1TB Gen 4 SSD, while the graphics card is Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3050. The two PCs pack 70Wh batteries and can be juiced via the Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Then, there is the Slim 7i Carbon, a 13-inch Ultrabook with IPS LCD capabilities and a 2,560×1,600 resolution with 90Hz refresh rate. It is launched with Intel’s 28W 12-gen P-series processors and an Iris Xe graphics. The PC weighs 967.8 grams, making it perfect to move around with and offers a 32GB RAM and 1TB of storage. Its battery is a small 50Wh cell with Thunderbolt 4 and a USB Type-C port.
Lenovo Slim 7 and 7i series comes at 14 and 16-inch sizes. There are the 2,880×1,800px OLED option with 90Hz refresh rate and a 2,880×1,800 IPS with a 120Hz choice for 14-inch displays. For the 16-inch displays, you get a 2,560×1,600 resolution with 120Hz refresh rate on the Intel chips or 165Hz on the AMD models.
However, the manufacturer allows you to configure the PCs with Intel P-series, H-series or AMD Ryzen 6000HS Creator processors. The 16-inch offerings can get RTX 3050 Ti graphics while the 14-inch models gets up to only the RTX 2050.

The PCs are expected in June 2022 except the 14-inch Slim 7i that should start selling in May 2022.
