Lenovo’s smart clock powered by Google’s Assistant has been updated to a second generation. The smart clock 2 still maintains its old design but it is now updated with wireless charging.
The wireless charging tab makes a perfect hold for overnight phone charging, and as an additional feature a USB A port is included on the back of the dock for a wired charging option.
The 4-inch LCD-enabled screen sits at an adjacent angle, paired with a 1.5-inch front-rear 3W speakers perfect for the bedside. The smart clock has a far-field microphone that feeds in voice commands to the Google Assistant.

Lenovo’s new smart clock 2 has a soft fabric body, available in either blue, grey, or black colors. A second look at the new smart clock 2 reminds you of the retro bed alarm clocks.
The original Lenovo smart clock retailed at $58, while the smart clock 2 will sell at 90 euros which is about $108. Lenovo has the wireless charging dock as an optional feature, just in case you are not interested in purchasing it. This means the smart clock 2 price will be lower than $108, this device would be released at a later announced date for August.
Lenovo has been releasing new products ranging from android tablets, laptops, and now smart clocks as it moves to gain more market share in the consumer’s space.
