Mercedes Benz has teased with the electric version of its G-Wagen. The EQG luxurious off-roader might get an electric production version. The SUV was displayed at the 2021 IAA Mobility happening in Munich.
Riding on the big moon rover styled 22 wheels, the concept car has a futuristic-look design with cool lighting. Known as the concept EQG, Mercedes Benz has not released any information concerning its range, battery size or performance.
But we can expect the concept EQC to have the same or more specifications than the company’s current EQC SUV. There are a whole range of luxurious electric SUVs in the market, ranging from Audi E-Tron, Tesla’s Model Y, GM’s Hummer EV, Ford 150, Volkswagen ID 4 and others.
Mercedes-Benz’s new EQS electric Sedan comes with a $100,000+ price tag, Parent was revealed some weeks ago. This ramps up the current lineup of electric vehicles the German company is offering.

While they will be available in the fourth quarter of the year for the United States, Mercedes-Benz is making Metallic paint and leather fittings as standard in Germany.
Just like Electric car pioneer Tesla, this is Mercedes-Benz’s first car to activate functions via over-the-air updates (OTA). Available in private and business customer’s attractive financing and leasing conditions, the company is really pushing its new vehicles into more customer’s homes.
Mercedes-Benz like Volkwasgen’s ID 3 has a limited edition variant of these cars that cost an extra 18,500 euros with the AMG line and 21-inch sporty wheels. These limited editions also have a metallic obsidian black paint, panoramic sliding sunroof, and an “Edition 1” badge on the exterior.
“We want to inspire our customers to switch to electric mobility with convincing products. An icon like the G-Class fulfils this task perfectly,” said a company spokesperson about the Concept car.
“We certainly hope the concept EQG goes into production, the G-Wagen has been an iconic off-roader, that oozes strength and elegance. An electric variant will definitely draw more people to adopting the EV lifestyle.”
