Meta (formerly Facebook) is requiring all staff returning to the office to have the COVID-19 booster shots. This is according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. What is this third shot? Due to the growing variants of the UK, South Africa and Omicron covid-19 virus, they have been a need for a third vaccine.
So individuals can take a third vaccine after 6 months of being fully vaccinated. This protects the public against the special variants of the coronavirus. Meta has also pushed back the date of its office resumption to march 2022, due to the rising cases of COVID-19.

All employees returning to Meta’s offices in the United State will have to show proof of the booster shot on the 28 of March 2022. Also, Google is requiring all of its employees to be vaccinated before heading back to any physical offices and stores. This is due to the reoccurrence of the coronavirus in the United States and other countries.
Different variants of the virus are around, such as the Delta variant. This is a precautionary motive by Google for safety at work. Facebook initially planned on letting staff back in the Office fully vaccinated in October last year but had to push back the date.
Elsewhere Tech company Apple has halted Employees returning to the office, giving an indefinite timeline. It has also closed all of its New York to incoming customers due to the increasing cases of COVID cases.
