Microsoft Rebrands Its Xbox Game Pass For PC To PC Game Pass

Microsoft is rebranding Xbox Game pass for PC to just PC Game pass, the gaming subscription service is getting a name shift. The company tweeted about the change, confirming the news on December 10 2021.

Xbox also took the medium to announce games coming to the PC platform for the first time. Some of the games include Redfall, Atomic Heart, Slime Rancher 2. Starfield, Somerville and Scorn.

While there will be new titles coming to Game pass for PC in the future including Trek to Yomi, Pigeon Simulator, Sniper Elite 5 and a title from Hugecalf Studios.

Xbox has reached 100+ custom touch control game support on its Game pass gaming service. The company recently added 13 titles to its growing list of touch-enabled games.

Its Xbox Games Pass subscribers allow gamers games on their Android, iOS, and Windows PCs for a monthly fee. Its touch control games don’t need controller support as it’s screen enabled.

The first game to have touch support from Xbox was Minecraft Dungeons during its initial launch last year for its xCloud service. There is now a growing list of these games on the Xbox website.

Xbox xCloud service which comprises of its Cloud gaming and Remote play is now officially available on Windows via the Xbox app. Initially, in testing for its beta insiders, this service is now available publicly. Intending users of cloud gaming services need to be Xbox game pass subscribers in order to use it.

The rebranding by Microsoft for games on PC is a welcome change. The Xbox logo will still remain, and this new change won’t confuse gamers as Xbox only offered games.
