Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have ended their relationship after less than one year together. The couple, who got together following the end of Miley’s marriage, called it quits in the last few weeks. The reason behind their breakup remains unclear at the moment.

Although they are most known for their romantic link, Cody and Miley have had a close friendship since 2015. While appearing on the Zach Sang show in July of that year, Cody, 23, deemed Miley as “the coolest girl I’ve ever met here in LA”.

He even went as far as to declare Miley as “one of his best friends” in an interview with GQ Australia in December of 2015.

“Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff trying to escape your childhood. She’s super open-minded and I’m working on becoming more like that”. He gushed.

Miley’s friendship with Cody transformed into a hot romance in October of 2019. This was after they kissed at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles.

The public kiss happened nearly two months after the news broke that Miley and Liam Hemsworth were getting divorced. Due to scrutiny she faced for moving on too quickly Miley fired back on Twitter and defended her actions.

She then went on to flood her social media with photos of  Cody who was 22-years-old at the time.
