Keanu Reeves will star in the forthcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game. This was announced at the Xbox E3 2019 press conference.

 

 

According to the trailer, the “John Wick” actor will play the character of V, an ally to the Cyberpunk 2077 player character. Viewers will see the protagonist V being ambushed in the trailer by some Non-Playable Characters (NPCs).

 

V lost his companion in a fight and now the villains are trying to kill him too. This comes after he acquired a chip for the group.

 

V then manages to make it out of the fight alive after he shot his way out of the apartment. The trailer now moves to where Keanu Reeves’ character tells the protagonist that they had work to do.

 

The frequency of Reeves’ character in the game is, however, still unknown. But it sure looks like he will definitely be an ally.

However, Reeves is doing great at the moment. This is with John Wick III topping box office charts around the world. He also recently starred in viral Netflix film, Always Be My Maybe.

 

This is great news for gamers as the “The Matrix” star is a favourite of most. Recently, there was also a partnership between John and Fortnite.

 

The character also featured in a game called John Wick Hex, and this has made him very popular in with the gaming crowd.

 

The game is expected to be up for release about a year from now, in 2020. Some rumours suggest that singer and A Star is Born actor Lady Gaga might also feature in the new game.

 

Other stars

There were claims that Lady Gaga had been seen at the office of Cyberpunk 2077 developer, CD Projekt RED. They believe this meant that she did some motion capture work.

 

There are also projections that the game will feature music by Grammy award-winning musician Kanye West. This is because Kanye West now follows the game’s Twitter handle. So a possible collaboration seems to be in order.

 

However, all of these are still speculations and are yet to be confirmed.
