The PlayStation 5 has sold more than 10 million consoles globally, the company announced yesterday. This is a new record as it has sold faster than the PlayStation 4 in the same timeframe.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, the parent company mentioned that they already attained the feat by July 18th, 2021, despite supply challenges from chip storage and a global pandemic.
Veronica Rogers, SVP, Global Sales and Business Operations praised the product development team at Sony.
“Our Product Development team delivered amazing innovations including lightning-fast SSD, immersive 3D audio, and the dynamic DualSense controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.”
“Their talent, perseverance, and creativity laid the foundation for the entire PS5 ecosystem.”
She announced fans should expect exclusive games coming from PlayStation Studios. They include a new God of War from Santa Monica Studios, Gran Turismo™ 7 from Polyphony Digital, and Horizon Forbidden West from Guerrilla Games.

Also, the highly anticipated games Battlefield 2042 from Electronic Arts, DEATHLOOP from Bethesda, Far Cry® 6 From Ubisoft, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits from Ember Lab.

Sony recently announced a new glass lantern speaker, an affordable quirky design.
This speaker is called the Sony LSPX-S3, a $349 wireless Bluetooth speaker that uses its glass tube as a tweeter for 360 degrees sound.
The LSPX-S3 speaker battery can last up to eight hours when fully charged, and its different lights can create a romantic mood at home because of its ambiance.
