Robert Pattinson star actor of “The Batman” has tested positive for the coronavirus. This has caused filming to halt just days after the superhero drama resumed work at studios outside of London.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. would not comment on any individual worker’s health. They only shared only this statement: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols.
Vanity Fair confirmed through a source that Pattinson was the individual who became sick. The production previously shut down, along with most other entertainment industry work, back in March. That was when the quarantine lockdown first hit.
In April, Matt Reeves, the director and writer of the film, said that it was “quite surreal” to have production, which started in September 2019, halted by a global pandemic.

In the new movie, directed by Planet of the Apes filmmaker Matt Reeves, Batman is in his second year of vigilantism. He is also trying to solve a series of gruesome serial killings. The case causes him to cross paths with Paul Dano’s The Riddler. He also meets Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle, and the underworld figure Oswald Cobblepot, played by Colin Farrell.
Robert Pattinson is the second Hollywood actor revealed to have contracted Covid-19 this week as Dwayne Johnson, released an Instagram post earlier this week stating that he and his family had recently tested positive for the coronavirus.
