Lupita Nyong’o, recently visited Nigeria to promote her screen-adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie‘s best-selling novel, Americanah.
American subscription video-on-demand streaming service, HBO Max, gave a straight-to-series order for the Americanah project in 2019. Danai Gurira, Lupita’s Black Panther co-star wrote the plot. The 10-episode series will debut on HBO Max. It stars David Oyelowo, Momoh Uzo and other screen stars.
Americanah tells the epic story of Ifemelu ( Lupita Nyong’o), a young, beautiful, self-assured woman raised in Nigeria.
Leah Victorah and her friend did a good job at recreating Chimamanda and Lupita’s look. This caught Adichie’s attention and she acknowledged the creativity by reposting it.
