Nollywood actress and filmmaker Shan George, has announced the death of her mother.
The 50-year-old movie star took to her Instagram page in the early hours of Thursday 1st July 2021, to mourn her precious mother who she described as the “strongest woman I know.” She, however, did not reveal details on when she died.
“I lost my precious mother this morning. She was the strongest woman I know. Rest in peace Aka Shine. May God keep your soul till we meet again,” she wrote alongside a photo she took with the deceased.

In 2019, The fair-skinned actress had gone under the knife to treat a spine disease, which she had suffered for seven months before resulting in surgery.

In September 2020, George announced that she was engaged to the love of her life. She went on to reveal she said yes to her friend and business partner who’s also from cross river state as well.
“So I SAID YES!! To my best friend, my brother, partner, business associate, fellow crossrivarian, my ride or die since 1800, my available shoulder to cry on always. Let’s try again this one last time. It’s never too late. Yes, I Love You Too! 🥂” She wrote.
George is known for her role in movies like “Thorns Of Rose” “All For Winnie” “Blood Diamonds”, “A Second Time” “Outcast”, “Travails of Fate” “Made in Heaven”, “General’s Wife” and “Wrong Number”.
