“Omo Ghetto (The Saga)” Is Coming To Netflix!

Nigeria’s biggest box office film “Omo Ghetto (The Saga)” is getting a Netflix release!Meet the Star- Studded Cast of Funke Akindele-Bello's Movie, “Omo Ghetto:  The Saga” - The Lagos Review

The Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz comedy-thriller have been confirmed to begin streaming on Netflix for all subscribers to enjoy.

The box office smash hit film will start streaming on Netflix from September 10, according to reports.

Omo Ghetto (The Saga)” was released on 25th December 2020, a sequel to 2010 “Omo Ghetto”. It soon saw a meteoric rise despite the pandemic and rose to become the highest-grossing Nollywood film, end “The Wedding Party” four years reign.

The film follows the tale of twin sisters leading separate lives. However, they are reunited by a series of dramatic twists. Shalewa (Lefty) struggles to adjust to her new life of privilege and is torn between two worlds.

The comedy film stars Funke Akindele in the dual role of Ayomide and Lefty. Tina Mba, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello, Chioma Akpotha, Bimbo Thomas also feature in the film.

Others are Eniola Badmus, Deyemi Okanlawon, Zubby Michael, Mercy Aigbe, Timini Egbuson and Alex Ekubo.

In January, the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria announced that the film had grossed ₦468,036,300 after holding the number one spot for its third week in a row.

By the end of its Cinema run, it had amassed over N500 million to become the highest-grossing film in the Nigerian box office, a spot “Avengers Endgame” once held.
