Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, says she regrets not talking to her dad every day before his demise in 2017.
The filmmaker wished she could turn back the hands of time and treat her late father better.
Omoni Oboli revealed that on her walk this morning, she broke down in tears because she misses her dad.
The “Wives on Strike” cast blamed herself for not checking up on him daily before his demise.
Using herself as an example, Omoni Oboli advised her millions of fans to always check up on their parents daily.
“On my walk this morning, I started crying because I miss my dad. I thought to myself, I could have called him everyday and told him I loved him everyday. Show your parents all the love you can everyday cos one day, you would wish you could give it all up for just one more day!
I wish…just one more day! Give them all the love you can while you still have them”.

In December 2021, Omoni Oboli recounted the sad experience of losing her dad, stating that her world crumbled at his demise. The filmmaker lost her dad Matthew Ukey in 2017 after he was involved in a car crash.
In a chat with Chude Jideonwo, Omoni Oboli broke down in tears while recounting her father’s demise.
She also recalled visiting the morgue and seeing the stone-dead body of her dad, who she said used to be the life of the party.
“ And months after that, my dad passed and it was like my world just literally crumbled. It crumbled,” she said.
“So I made arrangements to go, the next day I flew into Benin, drove there. So, of course, I went to see him at the morgue and have you ever seen a dead body? You just know, you just know that they’re no more there. Because it’s so empty, it’s a shell” She said.
