Samsung held its global Unpacked event on Thursday, 14th January 2021 at the Tech Experience Center in VI, Lagos for its Nigerian audience. The smartphone giant used the event to unveil its latest flagship for the year, the S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, Samsung only hosted a few personalities at the physical launch. This is the second event the smartphone giant is holding this week at the same venue further testifying to its strong relationship with African technology distribution giant, TD Africa.
The event itself confirmed the specs of the new flagships with Samsung also introducing new colours to its lineup. The S21 is available in four colors, namely, Phantom Grey, Phantom Pink, Phantom Violet, and Phantom Silver; the S21 Plus in two colours, Phantom Black and Phantom Violet; while the S21 Ultra is available in Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.

Samsung revealed that the S21 Ultra will be the first S series device to support the S Pen, also announcing that the S Pen Pro will be available much later this year.
At the event, Samsung Nigeria also unveiled Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as its latest brand ambassador. The media personality expressed his delight at representing the brand officially. Flashing his S21 Ultra, he said Samsung is known quality and he is proud to represent the brand.
The technology giant also revealed an all-new Earbuds Pro with super sound quality which it says provides “the best audio experience yet”. The most striking feature of the Earbuds Pro according to Samsung is that it allows you to still hold conversations without necessarily have to pause or reduce the volume of whatever you’re playing. The Earbuds Pro detects when you’re about speak and in response paused what is being played till you finish.
Samsung gave out prizes to participants at the Tech Experience center during the unpacked event. A guest was rewarded with a Samsung Smart TV while another went home with a Fit 2 band.
