In an unexpected turn of events, a man, in an attempt to kill his wife, died alone after crashing his plane into a clubhouse. He flew the King Air private plane into a clubhouse at the Matsieng Aerodrome just north of Gaborone, Botswana.
The pilot, identified as Pretorian Charl Viljoen, attended a baby shower hosted at the clubhouse. According to Capetown Etc, he had gotten into an altercation with his wife. It got physical, and he was chased from the venue.

Viljoen reportedly called a friend who was also at the event asking where his wife was after he left. The friend realised what was about to happen and asked the 50 guests to evacuate the clubhouse minutes before the plane crashed into it.
Viljoen was the only one in the plane, and also the only one who died. But as a result, 13 vehicles, a control tower and the clubhouse were all destroyed in the crash.
Viljoen had been working as a chartered pilot in Botswana since 1st October 2018.
A video, which captured the incident, has since gone viral on social media. It shows the clubhouse collapsing under the impact of the aircraft, and several cars bursting into flames.
