Late rapper Pop Smoke’s posthumous album “Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon” has broken the record for the longest number of weeks in the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s top rap albums chart.
The star’s posthumously released album amassed its 20th week in the coveted list, in turn beating Eminem who had the record since 2011 after his seventh studio album “Recovery” spent 19 weeks in the top spot. In third place was Drake whose album “Take Care” has spent 16 weeks on Number 1.
Pop Smoke’s album includes a number of collaborations featuring 50 Cent, Future, and Migos Rapper Quavo. Swae Lee, Da Babby, and Tyga also featured in the album.
Meanwhile, Nigerian superstars Davido and Burna Boy are among the A-list stars featured on the deluxe version.

Bashar Barakah Jackson aka Pop Smoke died after suffering from many gunshot wounds on 19th February 2020. He was rushed for treatment to Cedar’s Sinai hospital but died shortly after.
In July, four teenagers were charged with Pop Smoke’s murder inside his Hollywood Hills home. Prosecutors said Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, killed Pop Smoke in the course of a robbery. The robbery happened in his multi-million dollar home on Hercules Drive. Two of them face life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
A 17-year-old and 15-year-old defendant received charges for murder and robbery, and are facing trial in a juvenile court.
