At the PS5 Livestream event late on Thursday, Sony revealed the PlayStation console for the first time as well as other accessories that the game is coming with.
One thing we can confirm is that Sony did not disappoint with the PS5 console design. While the company had not blown minds with the design of its logo, it has been top-notch with its DualSense controller unveil earlier this year. Now, its console reveal totally yanked the rug off from beneath fans’ feet.
The PS5 console immediately drew comparisons to Microsoft’s Xbox Series X console previously unveiled in March 2020. However, its futuristic curvy design set it apart from the Xbox’s ‘fridge’ design.
But this is not all that thrilled fans at PS5 Live event. The company unveiled many exciting new games that got positive reactions from those who attended the event remotely. Some of the major PS5 games revealed are as follows:

The gameplay revelations of each of the games mentioned above and more clearly set the PS5 apart from older generation PlayStations. Everything from the video quality to the realism of characters was astonishingly clear.
To further improve users’ gaming experience, Sony released other accessories along with the PlayStation 5 console. Besides its already unveiled DualSense controller, it launched:
- Pulse 3D Wireless Headset
- Media Remote
- DualSense Charging Station
- HD Camera
Clearly, the gaming company is in touch with what professional gamers and streamers will appreciate. Disappointingly, the company did not reveal the expected date of release for PS5. The organisers only reaffirmed that it will enter markets by 2020 holiday season. Also, there is no mention of what the price will be.
