“PVCs Won’t Guarantee Better Leadership In 2023” -Actor Frederick Leonard Weighs In On Coming Elections

Popular Nigerian actor Frederick Leonard, has slammed those urging Nigerians to get their permanent voters cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2023 general elections.

As the 2023 election draws near, Nigerians are gearing up mentally and physically to vote their desired candidates into power.

However, the 45-year-old actor disagrees with the notion that getting voters card is the first step to achieving better leadership in Nigeria.

In a Twitter post, which was also shared via his Instagram story, the film star said no one should preach to him about getting a PVC.

He stated that the civic exercise of getting the voters card is just a way of brainwashing citizens.

“Did I just hear get your PVC again? Please what happened to the ones we got seven years ago and very recently three years ago? Chai, my darling Naija,” he wrote

May we open our eyes, mind and sense to see what the problem is, and call it what it is… Please, no brainwashed person should preach PVC to me!”

Frederick Leonard is a native of Anambra state Nigeria and a Biochemistry Graduate. He ventured into acting in 2008 making his debut appearance in “Indian Doctor”, then featured in 2019 hit TV series “Disclosure” which shot him to stardom.

Leonard won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a movie at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2014. In 2016, he won the City People Movie Award For Best Supporting Actor of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards.
