Qualcomm has released a new $1,500 smartphone, which was made in a partnership with ASUS. This custom-made phone is called the “Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders” with Qualcomm chip technology and designed by ASUS.
Only members of the Insiders program are eligible to own the $1,500 pricey smartphone. The Chip manufacturing company is the major supplier of chips for all Andriod smartphones available in the market. Qualcomm is positioning this smartphone as premium and innovative hence the $1,500 price tag.
It also ships with 5G global connectivity.

Disappointingly, the phone’s processor is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chip which is less powerful than the company’s recently announced 888 Plus chip. Under the hood of the Smartphone is Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile platform, a 6th-Gen Qualcomm AI Engine with 26 YOPS AI performance.
In addition, it has the latest Wi-Fi 6 & 6E technology, a professional-quality camera with a triple ISP.
Authentication is made easy with Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 fast unlock with dry or wet fingerprints.

The Snapdragon Insider smartphone has up to 7.5 Gbps downlink and 3 Gbps Unlink for its 5G connectivity.
Fast Wi-Fi speeds up to 3.6 Gbps, and the reimagined audio with Blue 5.2 antennas. For gaming, this smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm Adreno 660 GPU that promises 35% faster graphics rendering compared to the previous-gen chip.
Other gamers treat is True 10-bit HDR, Variable Rate Shading, as well as Qualcomm Game Quick Touch all for a rich gaming experience. Qualcomm’s Spectra 580 ISP chip powers its professional image processing, combined with AI-powered object tracking and Auto Zoom.
The Triple 14-Bit camera system can shoot impressive 8K videos.
This smartphone is paired with this device are premium True Wireless Earbuds for rich and also immersive sound.
Qualcomm has included in this phone’s Box, a 65W Quick Charge 5.0 charger, custom rubber bumper. It also has two enhanced braided Type C to C, and Type C to A cables for an ultimate mobile experience.
This smartphone will be available this August in the US, China, UK, as well as Germany only for Snapdragon Insiders according to a report by The Verge.
