Nigerian afrobeat artist Rema just released a new EP titled “Bad Commando”. The four-track project features production from Honter, Altims, Oliver El Khatib and 1mind.
The four tracks are “Bad Commando”, “Lady”, “Rewind”, and “Spaceship Jocelyn”.
Meanwhile, Rema wrote about the “Bad Commando” EP in a YouTube comment yesterday morning. He said,
“Bad Commando is a sound of my identity. It’s a raging sound for the force that I represent (the new generation).
“This sound is a statement, recognising my place in the game as part of the special force standing in the front line sent to raid the world with the new sound.”
He then said,
“Also, it states the trials faced in the journey of breakthrough and warning to those who come against this alter backed by Prophecy.”
The “Bad Commando” EP comes with a video for the track of the same name.

Directed by Seun Opabisi and also Kewa Oni, it is heavily symbolic and representative of the ideologies of the budding, thriving Gen Z generation and alte culture in Nigeria.
