Superstar Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema has gained admission into the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to study creative arts.
Rema shared the news of his admission with his fans in a series of tweets on Friday 7th January.
The Mavins Records artiste in his tweet stated that his decision to further his studies was influenced by his mum’s desire that he should get a University degree.
“What if I told y’all I got an admission into UNILAG? Lol, Mom said I still need to get a degree sigh, oh well see you guys in class!” he wrote.

The “Dumebi” crooner also revealed he will drop his much anticipated album “Rave & Roses” before resuming school.
“I go try drop the album before I enter school, make dem no go beat me for UNILAG, plus I’m in the creative art department,” he added.
Rema, is a top Nigerian hip hop rapper, songwriter, and stage performer. He was born in 2001 in Benin City, Edo State in the south-southern part of Nigeria.
Rema became popular for his 2019 hit songs, especially “Iron man”, “Lady” and “Dumebi”.
On 19th October 2019, Rema also won the Next Rated Award at the 13th edition of The Headies. In June 2020, he was crowned Apple Music’s new ‘Up Next’ artist.
