Another body will wear the Batman suit when it returns to the big screen in 2021. The new face behind the pointy-eared cowl will reportedly be our favourite vampire from “Twilight”, Robert Pattison.
According to reports, the deal is yet to be sealed. However, Pattison will soon be 100 per cent confirmed. Apparently, the director of Batman, Matt Reeves and Warner Bros only have Pattinson shortlisted for the role. Also vying for the role is British “Tolkien” star, Nicholas Hoult.
Pattison may be replacing Ben Affleck, who bowed out of his role as Batman, in January 2019. However, Affleck is still expected to produce the new 2021 film titled, “The Batman”. Reeves will also collaborate with J.J. Abrams to direct the film.
If confirmed, Pattison will be the seventh actor to play a big screen Warner Bros.’ DC Extended Universe Batman. He will step into the shoes of Batman after Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and, most recently, Affleck.
Latest reports have now suggested that whoever lands the role will be playing a younger Bruce Wayne. “The Batman” will hit the cinemas on 25th June 2021.
