Samsung’s new Odyssey Neo G9 Tv has a new Mini LED display, and it will be going on sale tomorrow for preorder.

This TV is an upgraded Odyssey G9 curved gaming monitor. The only difference is the Mini LED display with local dimming. Surprisingly the new display technology can reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits.

The mini display mimics OLED technology, replicating the deep blacks and high contrast. In comparison with the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor with 10 local dimming zones, this tv has an outrageous 2,048.

This Tv is ideal for gamers, fully equipped with the newer HDMI 2.1 ports(2). AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Variable refresh rate (VRR), and Nvidia’s G-Sync.

Just like the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor, Samsung’s Neo Tv retains the same super-fast 320Hz refresh rate and 1 millisecond response time.

The Odyssey Neo G9 Tv has a DisplayPort 1.4 with adaptive sync, two USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack.

Samsung’s August 11th Unpacked event will show the next version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip counterpart. The event starts at 10 AM ET or 7 AM PT. The event will be live-streamed on Samsung’s site.

There is also a reservation link for customers intending to buy the next flagship smartphones before they officially launch. Also launching for the Unpack event are the first Samsung smartwatches to run Google’s Wear operating system.

We can confirm the Unpack event is August 11th and expect the Z Flip 3 and Fold, new Galaxy watches, and Galaxy buds to be on site.

 

The Odyssey Neo G9 Tv will ship globally two days before Samsung’s Unpack event, 9th August, and will sell for $2,449.99.
