In a recent Samsung update for its ‘Find My Mobile’ feature, it has now enabled it to work for Galaxy devices that aren’t connected to Wi-Fi or cellular. XDA Developers’ Max Weinbach made the discovery regarding the feature which helps Samsung users find a lost phone.
The ‘Find My Mobile Offline Finding’ function will use a network of nearby Galaxy devices in tracking lost phones. The update is similar to the ‘Community Find’ feature that Tile trackers use when they’re out of Bluetooth range.
This feature will use nearby Galaxy devices to find your device if it cannot be found by WiFi or cellular network. Even switching the feature to offline mode on your device will still allow it to scan for other devices.

This means you’ll be able to help others find their lost devices if you’re in range of the item. You could also use the feature to find watches and earbuds that you’ve used recently.
Weinbach took to his Twitter page to announce his discovery.
