Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Flip4 to bring the most powerful phone processor

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, and not the standard version, will power Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.

Smartphone enthusiasts had been expecting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on upcoming Samsung flagships, but the company wants to do them one better by bringing the processor’s Plus version.

The Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 are expected at the tail-end of 2022, and unlike how their predecessors were powered by Snapdragon 888 instead of the regular Snapdragon 888 Plus, they will not repeat that mistake.

However, before their launch, we will likely see the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 perform in real-life usage as it has been rumoured to be making its debut on Xiaomi 12 Ultra — the smartphone is expected later in May 2022.

As we reported, the next-gen Snapdragon is supposed to bring power efficiency, increase speed, improve graphics (especially for mobile gaming), and ensure better network connectivity. In addition to this, it will aid the introduction of Samsung’s Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.0, which is expected in Q3 2022.

Although not confirmed, if Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 come with both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus and its Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.0, they will undoubtedly be the most powerful smartphones in the world.

And combine that with Android 13! You likely have a device, more efficient than a high-end PC, in your pocket — a foldable one at that.
