Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Could Have The AMD RDNA 2 Graphics Chip

Samsung has officially announced its Exynos 2200 chip, this is the next-gen with AMD’S RDNA 2 graphics. This is an in-house made mobile processor for smartphones. As earlier teased, this chip will include the first time graphics card. The Galaxy S22 could be the first smartphone to ship with it.

This AMD RDNA 2 chip is capable of ray tracing, creating smooth visuals for mobile gaming. Since the Galaxy S22 is Samsung upcoming flagship, there are chances it will ship with the smartphone. AMD last year said the South Korean Phone maker “next flagship mobile Soc ” would ship with RDNA2. Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Could Have The AMD RDNA 2 Graphics Chip

This GPU architecture is what’s powering the most powerful gaming consoles on the planet, the PS5 and Xbox Series X. There were reports this chip would have an “Exynos 2200”, the successor to the Exynos 2100. Well, this chip might be powering the Asian models of its flagship smartphones while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for the US variants.

Samsung didn’t tease much about its upcoming flagship chip, it urges the tech community to follow its Twitter page to get real-time news. As usual, the Exynos 2200 would see marginal increases in performance and efficiency to its predecessor. We all wait for the Galaxy S22 for test review, since we can’t tell how the new graphic card aids mobile gaming

The Exynos 2200 chip is based on Samsung’s new 4nm EUV process, it uses ARMV9 cores: a high powered Cortex-X2 “flagship core,” three other Cortex-A710 for better improvement and four other Cortex-A510 cores for stability.
