See 2020 Valentine’s Day Most-Streamed Films As Classics Dominate List

On 14th February 2020, Valentine’s Day, many streaming consumers were busy rewatching some romantic classics. According to our friends at Consumers Advocate, below are the top ten most-streamed films on Lover’s Day. Consumer Advocate also gives the Best Tv streaming services guide.

The list contains recent production like 2020’s To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You and a relic like 1989’s When Harry Met Sally. Here is the top ten list of most-streamed films on 14th  February 2020:

1. The Fault In Our Stars (2014)

You likely expected to find the film adaption of John Green’s 2012 book of the same name on this list. People streamed this film via the following platforms: Amazon Prime Video, Verizon, Google Play, iTunes, FandangoNOW, Microsoft Store, Vudu, and YouTube.

It is understandable why people want to watch a sixteen-year-old cancer patient fall in love with another cancer patient who she met at a support group that her parents had forced her to attend. After all, what is some love without the pain to go with it?

2. Love, Rosie (2014)

Subscribers on Netflix and Amazon Prime get to watch Love, Rosie as part of their benefits. However, it is also available on Youtube, Vudu, Verizon, Google Play, iTunes, and Microsoft Store.

Also based on a novel — Where Rainbows End by Irish author Cecelia Ahern — this film likely gave viewers a fair share of laughter and love.

3. Titanic (1997)

A Valentine’s day streaming list without Titanic will surely feel like a blasphemy, yes, even in 2020. This classic is still available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video, Verizon, Vudu, YouTube, Google Play, iTunes, and Microsoft Store.

The stats show that even 23 years later, lovers are still queuing up for Jack and Rose’s love-tragedy.

4. Me Before You (2016)

Another romantic drama and another romance novel, Me Before You comes fourth on our 2020 Valentine’s day most-streamed films. Viewers watched it on Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Verizon, YouTube, Google Play, iTunes, and Microsoft Store.

Emilia Clarke pulled off a direct opposite of her Game of Thrones Mother of Dragons character in this drama.

5. (500) Days of Summer (2009)

This film makes for a heavier viewing than the regular lovey-dovey Valentine’s Day film. Following a non-linear narrative, lovers likely enjoyed the thrill of following Tom Hansen’s seemingly haphazard memory journey.

6. The Notebook (2004)

Like the Titanic, every Valentine’s Day, lovers, loners and general film enthusiasts will likely always watch The Notebook until the end of time. Based on Nichola Spark’s novel by the same name, everyone who contributed to the creation of the film can be assured that they created a romantic classic that has endured time and season.

7. To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You (2020)

As the only 2020 film to make this list, To All The Boys: PS I Still Love You deserves some commendation. The film comes with a Netflix subscription and is only available on the platform.

Also, considering that it was released on 12th February 2020 (just two days to Valentine’s Day), is also a major feat. It is the sequel of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018).

8. Pretty Woman (1990)

The film stars Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in their first time together on screen. Their performances will forever remain memorable and the film making a list of most-streamed films on Valentine’s Day in 2020 is proof enough.  You can still get it on Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Verizon, YouTube, Google Play, iTunes, and Microsoft Store.

9. When Harry Met Sally… (1989)

Over 30 years ago Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan came together for the film When Harry Met Sally … now, 30 years later, it is still in the top ten list of most-streamed films on Valentine’s Day. Clearly, there is something special about this film.

You just have to watch it to understand it. It addresses one pertinent question; can a man and woman be friends?

10. My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

This romantic comedy became the highest-grossing romantic comedy of all time according to Wikipedia. Also, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson produced the film and of course, they are married today, though sadly they both tested positive to the coronavirus.

You likely watched at least one of these films on Valentine’s Day in 2020, if not, you should line them up for the same date in 2021. Customers Advocate’s data came in handy in creating this article.
