Picking up from where they left off with Camon 12, TECNO has launched the Camon 15 Premier, its latest smartphone on 2nd April 2020. The phone continues the Camon series after a brief hiatus with Spark 4 which launched in September 2019.
The TECNO Camon 15 Premier was announced late in February 2020 but came to markets worldwide in April. It comes with a Glass front, plastic back and a plastic frame. Its screen measures 6.6 inches in height and has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
While this phone launches with the latest Android 10.0; HIOS 6.0, it does not support the 5G network. Thus, it uses the 4G LTE for connectivity and the 5.0 Bluetooth version. They are currently available in Ice Jadeite and Opal White colours.
The TECNO Camon 15 Premier comes with a 4,000 mAh battery. Also, it uses a Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 (12nm) chipset.
In terms of storage, it offers a 128GB ROM and a 6GB RAM. This is impressive as users can choose to extend the ROM with external SD cards to fit their needs. However, there is no mention of what the limit is yet.

TECNO Camon 15 Premier has four rear cameras. The main camera is a 48MP machine that is complimented with a 5MP secondary camera and a 2MP camera for close-up photography. The fourth one is a TECNO artificial intelligence vision optimisation solution that improves night photography.
To give more screen room, the phone uses a popup camera for taking selfie photos. This camera is a 32MP tool that “has a smart anti-fall reaction and a strong resistance to magnetic interference, guaranteeing a smooth selfie experience”.
One thing the TECNO Camon 15 Premier has going for is its price as it costs NGN95,000 ($247) to own one in Nigeria.
