Selena Gomez is speaking about how her four years hiatus from social media has helped her mental health.
It may come as a surprise to her over 300 million Instagram followers, but Selena Gomez hasn’t used the app herself in over four years.
In a new interview with Good Morning America, the superstar spoke about her decision to step away from social media, and the internet itself, for four and a half years and what it’s done for her mental health.
“It has changed my life completely,” she said. “I am happier, I am more present, I connect more with people. I understand how powerful the internet is, and in so many ways it’s done the best things for the world. But for me, I get to my news that is actually important I get through people in my life.”
