This was the only request I had in our ever changing industry! We don’t create albums with so much care and thought into our track listing for no reason. Our art tells a story and our stories should be listened to as we intended. Thank you Spotify for listening ♥️ https://t.co/XWlykhqxAy

Spotify replied to Adele’s tweet with “Anything for you,” which confirms the report from the BBC. Earlier Spotify announced it will be launching a real-time lyrics feature to all its subscribers.

The music streaming company is partnering with Musixmatch for the lyrics and it will be available on nearly all platforms. Availability is inclusive of Android, iOS, web, Smart TVs and even gaming consoles.

Adele’s request is now available to paid Spotify subscribers, as they will now be able to play the default button on all albums. Interestingly, paid subscribers can also go to the “Now Playing View” and click on the “shuffle toggle” to shuffle an album.
